Mark Ho is co-managing partner of the firm and senior partner of the firm's corporate group. Before joining J&F, Mark worked for O'Melveng & Myers for over six years and was Chief Counsel for McDonald's China for over five years. Mark's practice areas include foreign investment, real estate, M&As, corporate restructuring, IPO and debt restructuring, supply chain and distribution, trademark license, retail license and franchising transactions.
Mark represented Chinese and multinational clients in mainland China, Hong Kong and Japan in numerous transactions; for example, assisted a US auto maker in purchasing 29% of a major Chinese automotive company by a secondary offering of B Shares at the Shenzhen Stock Exchange; assisted major foreign healthcare companies in establishing JV operations; and assisted numerous other foreign investors in purchasing Chinese assets and setting up business operations in China.

Mark is experienced in Chinese retail and distribution business, trademark licenses, retail licenses and franchising transactions. He assisted McDonald's in franchising deals in China and drafted and negotiated its first Chinese franchise agreements. Mark has a wealth of commeicial real estate experience. He assisted McDonald's in acquiring over 500 real estate sites in over 120 Chinese cities from 2000 through 2005. On trade and dispute resolution areas, Mark represented two major Russian steel companies and one major Japanese company in the second and fourth Chinese anti-dumping cases, and worked with lawyers from the U.S. Department of Commerce in various international trading cases. Mark is also handling commercial litigation and arbitration cases and Chinese labor dispute cases.
